This short piece of video was shot last winter, it shows wild blue sheep being fed stale bread from the hand of a monk in Stongde, Zanskar. The quality of the footage is not great, it was shot on a mobile phone, but the subject matter is fascinating.

Indeed, not much news coming out of Zanskar! I did however receive communication today and the Pensi La is expected to open in 2+ weeks. Apparently the Srinagar - Kargil road opened on the 2nd May. I also received a fascinating video today (shot on a mobile phone) of wild blue sheep being fed by hand last winter. I am just trying to find out more details about who, when and where. I will post the video online shortly once I have chopped the clip to remove the five minutes of footage that document the inside of the cameraman's pocket! Stay tuned...
